Franchise FAQ's

How much does it cost to build a franchise?

The scalable franchise model ranges in cost from approximately $300,000 for an express unit to $775,000 for a stand-alone unit.

How much of a down payment is necessary?

Depending on the size of the unit, the cash requirement will vary. Up to 80 percent of equipment financing can be arranged for qualified candidates. Please note that the $30,000 franchise fee is not financeable.  We are also an approved Small Business Administration (SBA) franchise.

What type of credit score will I need?

Typically, any equipment financing or SBA scenario will require a credit score of 700 or higher.  However, there are a number of compensating factors that will be considered in making the final determination, including cash reserves, length of employment history, strength of resume and down payment size.

Do I need to have food-related or franchise experience?

Absolutely not! Our carefully engineered, scalable franchise model was designed to ensure that anyone who has any business experience or entrepreneurial ability can learn our system with a high degree of proficiency in four weeks. The cutting-edge simplicity of the concept enables franchisees to train their employees quickly and consistently. That, in turn, allows them to sustain proficient, long-term employees with a minimal skill set.

What type of training will I receive?

All franchisees and their manager(s) will receive four weeks of in-depth, hands-on training at one of our operating corporate locations. In addition, our expert staff will be on hand for two full weeks at the franchisee’s location. Also, manuals are provided for easy referencing in ongoing day-to-day operations.

How long is my franchise agreement?
Our franchise agreements are for 10 years and are renewable for a fee.
What is the annual franchise fee?

There is a onetime $30,000 Initial Franchise Fee. Additionally, franchisees pay a Royalty equivalant to 6% of gross revenue (paid weekly). If you are a honorably discharged veteran, please contact us to find out how to waive the franchise fee.

Is marketing, public relations or advertising support included in the annual fees?

In addition to a royalty payment, franchisees are required to pay 2% of gross sales to national advertising, 1% to local advertising including our “Hydrating the Planet” charities.

Is Brooklyn Water Enterprises looking to franchise internationally?

Yes! Not only are we looking to expand in the United States, but we’re looking to open in additional countries, too. Our controlled growth expansion programs are strategically mapped to help support franchise’ expectations as we grow.
